Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories takes place right after the ending of the original. The opening scene shows Sora, Donald and Goofy who meet with Pluto and discover a note with him containing the royal symbol. Sora follows but is soon confronted by a cloaked man who warns of something tragic to come. The group arrives at Castle Oblivion, a strange and mysterious place that may tell the story of memories lost.
